Orono, Maine. The Reverend Elizabeth A. Morris, 45, a campus minister at the University of Maine formerly of Wilmington, was killed in accident Monday near the Biddeford exit on the Maine Turnpike. Maine State police said a 10-pound piece of concrete from a pothole on a bridge over the turnpike struck Miss Morris' car. She was driving her 16-year-old nephew to New Hampshire and the unidentified teenager, who was slightly injured, brought the car under control and stopped it, police said. Miss Morris was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating how the concrete became airborne. Miss Morris, ordained at United Church of Christ in California was a minister at the University for two years. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Western College for Women and Andover Newton Theological School, Newtown Center, Mass. She is survived by her parents, Dr. A.J. and Emily Morris of Wilmington and four brothers, David of Michigan, Christopher of New Hampshire, Michael of New Jersey, and Allison J. III of Massachusetts. A service will be Sunday at Orono Methodist Church. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Wilson Center, 67 College Ave., Orono, ME 04473.
