SANDY C. McKENZIE

 

SANDY C. McKENZIE, 48, of Hockessin, died Saturday from an aneurysm in Christiana Hospital.Mrs. McKenzie was a secretary and administrative assistant in research and development at DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Co., near Wilmington.  In early 1994, she pub­lished a children's book with a con­servation theme, "Good Morning”, sold through the National Parks magazine.  She was known for organizing outings for family and friends, including University of Delaware tailgate parties, rafting trips and New York City trips to see plays.

 

Survivors: husband of 29 years, Bruce J., sons; Kevin M. of Pike Creek and Michael A., at home; daughter, Christine McKenzie, at home; mother, Caroline Mercandante of Claymont.

 

Mass:  11 a.m. Wednesday, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont.

 

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont.  

 

Burial: Gracelawn Memorial Park.
