Nancy A. Crane

Age 63, of West Grove, PA., died March 11, 2011 at the Jenner's Pond retirement facility. She was the wife of Harold C. Lynch with whom she shared 22 years of marriage.  Born in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of Talbot H. and Dorothy Ouellette Crane of West Grove, PA.  Nancy earned a BA from the University of Maine in 1970. She worked as a manager in the banking industry for many years. At the Family and Workplace connection she worked in marketing. A member of Wilmington Women in Business, she served as a board member on the Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation. Nancy was a member of the First Unitarian Church in Wilmington.  Throughout her five years of illness Nancy never complained but instead joyfully shared a rich life with her devoted husband Hal. She had a lifelong love of all things from the state of Maine, especially lobsters, and took much pleasure in the company of cats. She also took pleasure in fostering a puppy for "The Seeing Eye" program. Nancy had a deep appreciation for beauty in art and nature, and had an unerring sense of fashion, color and line. She was an accomplished quilter and delighted in dancing with the Brandywiners. She loved traveling with her husband to places like Alaska and Hawaii. She particularly enjoyed walks at Longwood Gardens and the treat of a Boston Cr?me donut. 

Survivors include in addition to her husband and parents, four sons, Christopher M. Reeves and his wife Sabrina of Sparks, NV, Harold C. Lynch Jr. of Round Rock, TX, Jason Lynch and his wife Sasha of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sean Lynch and his wife Glorian of Camden, NC; one daughter, Jennifer A. Reeves and her fianc? Glenn Gerson of West Palm Beach, FL; one brother, John T. Crane of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Cinda Crane and her husband Jack Briggs of Wilmington, DE, and Jane Neubig and her husband Tom of Annandale, VA; seven grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service celebrating Nancy's life will be held 11AM, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Jenners Pond, Alison Bldg Auditorium, 2000 Greenbriar Lane, West Grove, PA 19390. You are invited to visit with her family from 10-11AM before the service. Interment will be held privately.
